Speaker: Environmental Compliance in an Era of Rapid Regulatory Change

Alison McGarry, Associate, McMillan LLP., is developing a broad practice in regulatory and environmental affairs. She recently completed her articling at McMillan and also gained experience as a summer student with the firm.

During her time in law school, Alison demonstrated a strong commitment to student life. She worked as a law centre clinic student clinician, representing clients at the British Columbia Provincial Court and the British Columbia Residential Tenancy Branch.

In addition to her clinical work, Alison took on several other roles. She served as a student representative on the Admissions Committee, acted as the social coordinator for her school’s law student society, volunteered as an editor for the Appeal Law Review journal, and led a Pro Bono Students Canada project that provided family law information to low-income individuals. After her first year in law school, Alison worked as a summer student at a family law firm on Vancouver Island.
