Ian E. Hattie, Senior Principal Geologist, WSP Canada Inc., specializes in regulatory permitting, environmental compliance, acquisition / divestment due diligence, best practices and auditing.

Ian has over 38 years of experience managing and executing geological and environmental projects in Canada and the United States. He has completed or participated in over 1,000 fully compliant or modified ASTM, CSA, and Alberta EPA Phase I site assessments. Audits have been completed at commercial and industrial sites and compared against regulatory standards and / or client-specific requirements. Ian combines his personal interests in historical and scientific research with a passion for teaching to provide value-added services for clients and simple solutions to enhance workplace safety and foster improvements to environmental stewardship.
